Sant Baba Sadhu Singh ji Mauni erected the Gurudwara with the help of the people of the Sikh community, in 1970.

The place where the establishment has been erected has a long history dating back to the times of the Mughal Empire. Located near Sikandra in Agra, this place is considered to be extremely pious by Sikhs. Guru ka Tal is notable because, at this very place, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji had offered himself to be arrested by Aurangzeb, the fierce Mughal Emperor. About an hour drive from Agra, this holy pilgrimage is definitely worth a visit.

Guru ka Tal is a popular tourist destination among people visiting Delhi or Agra. It is built in the Mughal architectural design. Constructed with red stones, the establishment bears similarity with the structural styles of the majestic Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort. Historically, this place used to be a 'tal' or reservoir which was used by people during hot and dry seasons. This dates back to 1610, during the time when Jehangir was the emperor. The place originally had twelve towers around the tal, of which only eight are left today. 

The place experiences a heavy footfall of devotees all round the year. Not only Sikhs but people from all communities from across the globe flock to Guru ka Tal every year. In spite of being heavily crowded, the place offers peace and solace. The magnificent Mughal architecture carries the essence of history. The tal bears in its heart the grim truth – how the Guru and his disciples were martyred because they demanded the right to practice their own religion.

Cancellation Policy :
• If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the visit, 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the visit, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the visit, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
