The dam was constructed in 1892, by the erstwhile Maharaja of Jodhpur, his highness Jaswant Singh. It was built to meet the irrigation needs of the town and the neighbouring villages.

Till date, the water from the dam is used to irrigate fields in Jodhpur. The Dam has been developed by the Rajasthan government as a natural reservoir which has emerged as an important sight of tourist as well. The tourists can take a boat ride across the Jaswant Sagar lake formed from the dam. The tour is also an ideal educational excursion for kids.

Cancellation Policy :
• If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the visit, 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the visit, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the visit, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

Refund Policy :
•The applicable refund amount will be processed within 15 business days
