Akshardham Temple holds the Guinness World Record for being the World's Largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple. The place offers a calm atmosphere that is perfect for spiritual practice and devotion. 

The temple was built by Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha or BAPS in the year 2005. Pramukh Swami Maharaj inaugurated the temple in the presence of A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Manmohan Singh and L.K. Advani. 

The architecture of the temple reflects years of planning and craftsmanship. Different architectural styles from all across India have been fused together to create this temple. Surprisingly, the temple is not made from any concrete or steel. 

Inside the temple complex, there are several sections that are very popular among pilgrims and tourists alike. There is Sahajanand Darshan or the Hall of Values that showcases robotics; Nilkanth Darshan, a theatre that plays 'Nilkanth Yatra', a film based on the life of Swaminarayan. There are various other interesting aspects of the temple that are bound to make visitors spell-bound, such as the musical fountain, the boat ride, Garden of India, Narayan Sarovar, and so on. Within the complex, there is a research centre that conducts studies on a wide range of subjects, including tribal and rural welfare, ecology, education, medicare, and culture. The centre is known as The Akshardham Centre for Applied Research in Social Harmony or the AARSH.

 Akshardham Complex is very easy to locate. The closest metro station is Akshardham Metro Station. 

Entry and Dress Code:  

There is no entry fee to enter the temple, but if you wish to see the water show, you have to get a ticket for yourself. You must follow the guidelines regarding the dress code of the temple. In case your attire doesn't comply with the dress code, you can borrow a sarong by paying a refundable amount of Rs. 100. Phones, cameras or electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the complex. 

Food Court and Bookshop: 

The complex has a vegetarian food court open to all visitors. If you wish to buy souvenirs, there is a shop for books and gifts.

Cancellation Policy :
• If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the visit, 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the visit, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the visit, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

Refund Policy :
•The applicable refund amount will be processed within 15 business days
