In the evening, we take you to witness one of the most colourful and exquisite performing arts in the world – Kathakali. After two hours of glorious entertainment, remember to get photographed with the Kathakali performer.

After breakfast, proceed on a guided boat tour in and around Cochin. This is possible because our sights are all accessible by water. See the historic Dutch Palace – a tribute to the relationship between the two cultures during the previous centuries.

We will also see the only Jewish Synagogue in India at Mattancherry; only one direct descendant of the family that set up this shrine is now alive. Reach back mainland Cochin by noon. Enjoy your lunch.

Next get ready for a too-good-to-believe experience – a country craft canal cruise out of suburban Cochin to the interiors. In course of your expedition, peep at the rural Kerala life from close quarters. Enjoy the peace. We get back to your hotel by evening.

After breakfast, we leave Cochin early in the morning for a long but scenic drive to Munnar – Kerala’s tea garden hill station. En route we take a detour to Kalady – the spiritually important town, which is the birthplace of early Indian philosopher and saint ‘Sree Sankaracharya’. We then continue on our journey to Munnar. As evening unfolds, crisp mountain air and beautifully kept valleys of tea gardens give you the first signs of what is in store for you. Check into your resort. After breakfast, we proceed on a daylong sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit the Eravikulam National Park – home to the endangered mountain goat species, the Nilgiri Tahr. Take snaps of the frolicsome and rather friendly goats. Admire the valley in front of you.

Next to Top-station, the highest point in Munnar and the place where you find an abundance of Nilakurinji plants, which flowers only once in twelve years.

Visit Marayoor, the location of a fragrant and picturesque sandalwood forest. You can buy sandalwood artefacts in the shops of Munnar town to take home as sweet-smelling mementos.

After breakfast, we drive to Thekkady, hometown of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. On your way to Munnar, travel through spectacularly beautiful scenic splendours. After breakfast, we take you to enjoy a rather unusual way of exploring a wild reserve – aboard a boat. The picturesque Periyar Lake is a beautiful setting. Your boat ride affords views of elephant herds and bison. If you are lucky enough you can spot more exotic animals. Don’t forget to take your binoculars!

Next we go on trekking trails that take us closer to the majestic Nature in this area – an exciting experience. Later, visit a cardamom-curing centre to get a feel of spice industry based here. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your resort.

After breakfast, we proceed to Kumarakom – the spectacular and inviting backwater destination. Arrive at Kumarakom by noon. Check into the Kumarakom Backwater Resort. The rest of the day is your canvas to draw the amazing backwater experiences possible here.

We board a houseboat to view the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary located in an island in the backwaters. Watch exotic birds, the migratory Siberian Stork among them, lead their normal lives unaware of you or your binoculars. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your resort.

After breakfast, we set out on a memorable day & night houseboat cruise, which will eventually take us to Kollam. See some of the most spectacular backwater scenery in the world. We continue our journey to Kollam. In the night, the boat drops anchor in the backwaters, signalling the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you. Enjoy the fabulous sensations of mysterious night sounds. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay on board.

Awake early to experience a magical backwater morning. Shortly you’ll resume your journey to Kollam. Arrive at Kollam by afternoon. Kollam is an enchanting tourist spot on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake. Kollam is also a gateway point to the magnificent backwaters of Kerala. Check into your hotel. After breakfast, we take you on a sightseeing trip in and around Kollam. Visit a handloom centre – see the traditional hand powered loom and deft hands of the craftsmen work together to weave rich natural fabric. Next stop at an Ayurveda medicine-manufacturing unit, where herbal cures of the ancient medical science are made. We proceed to see a cashew factory. Observe how a mixture of manual and machine processing readies ‘the millennium nut’ for export all over the world. Now you know why Kollam is regarded as the ‘cashew capital’ of India. Next we drive 34 kilometres north of Quilon to the Oachira Parabahmam Temple - perhaps the only temple in the world without a deity.

Later we take a spiritual detour to visit the abode of the global spiritual leader – Mata Amritananda Mayi Devi. Experience the spiritual serenity of the place. Back to your hotel and it is time to see a Kalaripayattu performance – the oldest martial art in the world. Take action photographs of the performers. The day’s attractions are not yet over. We now take you to experience the unusual – a country craft night fishing trip. This is a story your friends back home would listen with envy. Get back to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

After breakfast, we drive to Kanyakumari – the confluence of three oceans and the land’s end of India. Arrive at Kanyakumari by afternoon. Check into your hotel. Till evening you are free to relax. In the evening, we take you to the seashore to witness an ethereally beautiful sunset. Enjoy overnight stay at your hotel.

Awake in time to take in the majestic sunrise view. Later, we take you to the ferry for the short crossing to the giant rock formation on which stands the Vivekananda Memorial. It is 200 metres above the shoreline. See the spot where Vivekananda – the great Indian philosopher – sat in deep meditation in the late nineteenth century. Shortly, we get back to mainland and proceed to Kovalam – the world famous beach destination. Arrive at Kovalam by noon. Check into your beach resort.
