Day 01: Arrival Baku
Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Visit the city of Baku the capital of Azerbaijan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Baku – Gobustan – Baku
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Gobustan- over 4000 rock carving depicting the way of life of the ancient inhabitants, then visit the Museum of Art. Accommodation in a hotel in Baku.
Day 03: Baku – Shamakha – Sheki - Frontera Lagodekhi -Telavi
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning transfer to Sheki. Visit the Masquerade in Shamakha Cuma, Yeddi Gumbez, the mausoleum of Diri Baba in Maraza. Transfer to the border Azerbaijan - Georgia (Lagodekhi). Then transfer to Telavi. Overnight in Telavi.
Day 04: La Region De Kajeti - Sighnaghi –Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visits the Monastery of Nekresi. Then we’ll visit the complex and Garden Tsinandali of noble of Georgia, Alexander Chavchavadze. After the tour, we will have a wine tasting. Before reaching the farm we’ll visit the complex Shuamta Old and New, with monasteries of the beginning of Middle Ages. Then we will have the opportunity to see how the Georgian wine is prepared which is completely different from that of European. We can also give a try. Later travel to the city of Sighnaghi and visit the museum of ethnographic history. Return to Tbilisi. Overnight in a hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 05: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Gori -Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta and its historical sites: the Church of Jvari (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are World Heritage Sites of UNESCO. Then visit Gori - the heart of Kartli Region. Visit City Uplistsikhe Cave. It is an older complex with interesting wine cellars, bakeries, a basilica church and even a theater. Then optional visit Stalin Museum, which is an old and interesting complex, wine cellars, bakeries, a church of three-aisled basilica carved into the rock and even a crazy theater near Stalin museum. You have to climb the famous Georgian Military Highway (leading to the Georgian - Russian border). On the road, we will visit the complex Ananuri. Get back to Tbilisi and overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Tbilisi- Sadajlo (Frontera Georgia – Armenia) – Dilijan
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will have an excursion in the capital. Here you may encounter with many religious and cultural buildings: churches, synagogues, mosques which comprise the whole color of the 19th century. Visit sulfur bath. Later visit the stunning treasury History Museum and the National Art Museum of Georgia (depends which will be open). After all we will have a walking along Rustaveli Avenue - the main street in Tbilisi. After we’ll continue the tour to the border of Georgia - Armenia (Sadakhlo) and after border formalities, we continue our journey to Armenia. We’ll take a trip to Dilijan. Overnight at hotel in Dilijan.
Day 07: Dilijan - Selim - Noravank - Khor Virap - Erevan
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a trip to Noravank - a monastery of XII century via Selim Pass. This monastery is situated among amazing sheer rocks on the bench of a twisty gorge. This is the only monastery where we may find a unique sculpture of Father God. We will continue our tour Khor Virap Monastery (4-18th cc.). This monastery is very prominent because of its history; Gregory the Illuminator, who introduced Christianity to Armenia, has been imprisoned there about 13 years as at that time there was a prison in the place of the monastery. Here we can enjoy the spectacular view of the sacred Ararat Mountain - an immortal symbol of Armenia. Get Yerevan and overnight there.
Day 08: Erevan - Echmiadzin – Zvartnoc - Erevan
Breakfast at the hotel. We will start the excursion to centuries-old monuments Ejmiatsin and Zvartnots. These sites are listed on UNESCO World Heritage list. The Cathedral of Ejmiatsin, founded in 303, is the official residence of the Catholicos of Armenia. We’ll continue the trip to Zvartnots Temple, which was built on a 7th century by Nurses Builder Catholicos. Get back to Yerevan. We will visit Vernissage; the famous open-air market of contemporary art. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 09: Erevan – Garni – Geghard – Erevan
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a trip to Garni. This Pagan Temple was built in the 1st century AD. It is the only temple that has been preserved from the Pagan times in Armenia. It was devoted to the god Mihr, who was the god of cleanness. In 1679 it was destroyed by an earthquake. In 1975 the Temple was restored. Then we will continue our trip to Geghard Monastery. Its name came from the legendary lance that was used to pierce the body of Christ. It has been kept here for centuries. Though the exact foundation of the monastery is unknown, the present complex was built in the mid – 13th century. Get back to Yerevan and overnight there.
Day 10: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to catch a flight.
