Day 03: Copenhagen – Stockholm
Breakfast at Hotel, we will proceed today to Stockholm. En route take in the view of Kronborg Castle reputedly the Elsinore home of Hamlet, as you cross over the Oresund to Sweden. Your journey takes you through fertile farmland and along the peaceful shores of Lake Vattern. Continue to Stockholm, which is set on 14 beautiful islands. Arrive and check in Hotel. Day 04: Stockholm – Overnight Cruise to Helsinki
Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed for a Guided Panoramic City Tour of Stockholm.. The charms of Sweden’s capital are revealed with your local expert. Visit the City Hall’s ‘Gold Room’, where Nobel Prize banquets are held, the medieval Old Town and see the cathedral and Royal Palace. Later some free time to explore Stockholm on your own. Day 05: Helsinki
Breakfast on board Cruise. Arrive and proceed for a Guided Panoramic City Tour of Helsinki. Day 06: Helsinki – Kuopio (Land of a Thousand Lakes)
Breakfast at Hotel. We travel through a land of beautiful lakes and forests today! This afternoon enjoy an ascent of Kuopio’s Viewing Tower. The splendid panorama will reveal why Finland is called the land of a thousand lakes. Later check in Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07: Kuopio – Rovaniemi (Lapland & Santa's Lap)
Breakfast at Hotel, today we will travel towards the Arctic and into Lapland, the home of the Sami people. Your destination is Rovaniemi, the modern capital of the region. Check in Hotel. Later, perhaps choose to view the open-air museum and try a traditional Lapp dinner. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08: Rovaniemi – Cross the Arctic Circle to Saariselka
Breakfast at Hotel, today travel Visit the Santa Claus Village today where it is Christmas all year round, crossing the Arctic Circle at the same time and receive a certificate to prove it. You may see herds of reindeer roaming freely as you head for one of the oldest churches in Lapland. Travel through Europe’s last great wilderness to visit the national park near the gold center. of Tankavaara. Then to Saariselka. Check in Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 09: Saariselka – Honningsvag (North Cape)
Breakfast at Hotel, we cross the rolling tundra into Norway to stop at Karasjok, the seat of the Sami Parliament and a center. of Lapp culture. Visit a Lapp folk museum then it’s on through unique scenery to the North Cape. Your hotel is in Honningsvag on Mager Island, from where you will journey at night to the northernmost point of Europe in search of the ‘midnight sun’. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10: Honningsvag – Alta – Narvik
Breakfast at Hotel, today we ill return to the mainland, traveling through stony, near-deserted Finnmark to Alta, situated on one of the world’s richest salmon rivers. Then continue your journey to Narvik. Arrive and check in hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11: Narvik – Mosjoen
Breakfast at Hotel, today we will take a ferry across Tysfjord and pass Rago National Park, its fjords cutting deep into the landscape. Bid farewell to the Arctic before reaching Mosjoen, a pleasant town on the Vefsnfjord, which has a large concentration of listed wooden buildings and Norway’s oldest octagonal church. Arrive and check in hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 12: Mosjoen – Trondheim
Breakfast at Hotel, today we drive through Namdalen then watch for salmon leaping upstream to their spawning-grounds at the mighty Laksfoss Falls. Continue via the village of Hell to Trondheim, seat of the ancient Viking Kings, to admire the cathedral. Arrive and proceed for a short Guided Panoramic City Tour of Trondheim. It will discover the Viking town of Trondheim –Norway’s first capital and its outskirts visits the famous medieval Nidaros Cathedral and passes by the Stiftsgården Palace, one of Scandinavia’s most impressive wooden buildings. It was founded around 997 by Viking King Olav Tryggvason, who named it Nidaros. By Norwegian standards, Trondheim is a large city but preserves the charms and intimacies of a small town. Trondheim is full of colorful contrasts: monastic ruins, impressive wooden buildings, colorful wharves and a beautiful red bridge dating from 1861. The Kristiansten Fortress, from the 1600s, stands guard above the town. Day 13: Trondhiem – Geiranger
Breakfast at Hotel, today we will cross the Dovre Mountains, which form Norway’s oldest National Park. Arrive at the mirror-smooth waters of Geirangerfjord to embark on a spectacular Highlight cruise beneath towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Your hotel is in a superb setting overlooking the beautiful Norwegian Fjord landscape. Then enjoy a whole day of relaxation amid the fjords and mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage area. Day 14: Geiranger – Oslo
Breakfast at Hotel, today we travel via lakes and snow-capped peaks to Lom – home to one of Norway’s most beautiful stave churches. Continue through the countryside of ‘Peer Gynt’, immortalized by Ibsen, to Oyer to come face to face with the world’s largest Troll. After stopping in Lillehammer, it’s on to the modern Norwegian capital of Oslo. Arrive and check in hotel. Overnight at Hotel
Day 15: Oslo
Breakfast at Hotel, today we proceed for a Guided Panoramic City Tour of Oslo. In this tour we will see the medieval Akershus Castle guarding the harbor and the Royal Palace and includes a visit to the Viking Long Ship Museum. Visit Frogner Park, housing the unique and controversial sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. In the afternoon free to explore Oslo. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 16: Departure Oslo
