Day 01: Arrival
A meet and greet at the airport is arranged to welcome you to the Netherlands. We start our day visiting the country-side with Hollands’ highlights: tulips, windmills, cheese and wooden shoes. Unique photo-opportunities at Zaanse Schans windmill park, where you will stop for cheese tasting and live-instruction about the skills of making Dutch cheese. Also, the clog maker will show you how the wooden shoes are handcrafted made. At Volendam, you will see an authentic Dutch fisherman’s village and many people still wearing traditional clothing. At your own leisure and costs, you will be able to taste the famously smoked eel, eat freshly caught fish and make your photo in traditional Dutch clothing. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Amsterdam
Breakfast at the hotel. When driving to Hollands’ National park Hoge Veluwe you will stop at McArthur Glenn Designer Outlets for a few hours of high-quality shopping. After lunch-time, you will continue the journey to the magnificent nature and arrive at the Kröller-Müller Museum, which boasts the second-largest Van Gogh collection in the world: almost 90 paintings and over 180 drawings. Furthermore, you will also find masterpieces by modern masters such as Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondrian, and remarkable temporary exhibitions. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Amsterdam
Breakfast at the hotel. Experience Amsterdam’s highlights from the canals. A cruise of 75 minutes guided in 21 languages are included In the itinerary. After the cruise, take a walk along the historic canal ring to soak up the atmosphere and architecture of Amsterdam’s Golden Age. Free time this afternoon for a drink, well-deserved dinner or shopping-safari. Start from Leidseplein, one of the squares near the canal cruise dock and musea (Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum) and visit the main shopping district which runs from Leidsestraat to the Kalverstraat shopping arcade. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. In flower park, Keukenhof over 7 million of bulbs is in bloom during Spring, with a total of 800 varieties of tulips. A unique and unforgettable experience! (Open from 22 March – 13 May 2018) We can extend the program to Delft: it is worth your visit! While walking, become acquainted with historic Delft: monumental houses, beautiful gables, tree-bordered canals, picturesque bridges and an impressive market square. At the Royal Delft Experience, you will discover the complete history of the renowned Delft Blue/Royal Delftware, which is still entirely hand painted according to a centuries-old tradition. Depending on your flights’ arrival and departure times we will decide whether this highlight will be on day 1 or 4 in the itinerary.
