Itinerary


Day 01: Arrival Budapest

Arrival Budapest then transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Budapest

Breakfast at hotel. We start the tour from the Chain Bridge, pass by the Parliament and take the Margaret Bridge to drive over to the Buda side. We stop in the Castle District and during a short walk we show you the main attractions of the area. We walk to the Matthias Church and the Fishermen's Bastion (from where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama). Next, we drive to the Gellért Hill (Citadel) and show you the most spectacular view of Budapest. Afterwards, we take you over the Elisabeth Bridge to Pest and show you the famous Central Market Hall and the largest Synagogue of Europe, afterwards we drive to the City Park. We pass by the famous Széchenyi Thermal Bath, the Budapest Zoo, then stop at the Heroes' Square (with statues of the most famous Hungarian kings and dukes). We take the Andrássy Avenue back to downtown Pest, while passing by the Opera House and St Stephen's Basilica. During the tour we offer a brief overview of the last 1000 years of Hungarian history. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Budapest

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning you can explore the city on your own and visit the beautiful city centre of Budapest. In the afternoon proceed for Szentendre Artist’s Village Tour. Szentendre, the picturesque Artist's Village in the Danube Bend. Walk along the cobbled narrow streets and taste the Hungarian speciality, so called "lángos". Enjoy the one hour long boat tour from Szentendre back to Budapest  Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Budapest

Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure. Evening visit markets for shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Sisi Tour

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the beautiful Baroque Palace in Gödöllő. After only a 30-minute drive from Budapest we arrive to the former summer residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sisi) and Francis Joseph (Habsburg Emperor & Hungarian King 1867-1916). The interior visit of the Gödöllő Palace gives you a glimpse of times under the Austro-Hungarian Empire. You will become acquainted with the secrets of the private life, the hidden doors, rooms and lovers of the royal couple.

After the guided tour through the Gödöllő you have the opportunity to have a coffee break and look around the souvenir shop. Return back to Budapest. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Depart Budapest

After breakfast transfer to the airport to catch a flight.
