The Lake Atitlan, a lovely lake is hidden inside a massive volcanic crater enhances the beauty of this tourist destination. Santiago Atitlan is another attraction in this country that lies between two volcanoes.

Lakes, villages, Mayan traditions, ruins and markets make it a top-most tourist destination in Central America. Day 01: Arrival Guatemala City
Upon arrival and transfer to the selected hotel in Guatemala City for accommodations.
Day 02: Guatemala City - Quirigua – Rio Dulce Or Mariscos
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Quirigua is one of the smallest Mayan Cities, but one of the most notable due to its splendid series of monuments. Most likely founded in the Late Pre-Classic era and flourished until the 10th century until Quirigua was abandoned for unknown reasons. The archaeological site of Quirigua contains the largest stela ever discovered in the Mayan world. At the indicated time, transfer to Mariscos or Rio Dulce. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Mariscos Or Rio Dulce - Livingston - Flores
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Rio Dulce departs in boats for the visit the village of origin garífuna Livingston with his music reggae and Punta, coconut bread, etc. To continue with the boat ride, we arrive upward the river, you are able to appreciate vegetation and a natural canyon. The boat will lead you through the Canals. Then, you will arrive to Rio Dulce. You will also visit Castillo de San Felipe de Lara and be able to appreciate a panoramic tour, this castle was built in XVII Century by Spanish as a way to avoid looting in warehouses, which were located at the shore of the lake. Later on, we lead ourselves to visit la Ciudad de Flores. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Flores - Tikal - Flores - Guatemala City
Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, you will be transferred to Tikal to visit the main Plaza and the Temple of the Great Jaguar, central acropolis, Mundo Perdido and temple IV from where you can observe the majesty of the city and the emerald green jungle. After lunch (included – no drinks), transfer to the Mundo Maya International to aboard the flight to return to Guatemala City. Upon arrival and transfer to the selected hotel for accommodations.
Day 05: Guatemala City - Chichicasa Tenango - Lake Atitlan
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from your hotel to the Guatemalan Highlands along the Panamerican Highway to Chichicastenango, a quiche Indian town surrounded by hills and mountains that jealously keep the inhabitants’ traditions, as they melt their prehispanic and catholic rituals at the 400 years old church of Santo Tomas, built on the remains of a Mayan Temple. Here, market days, Thursdays and Sundays, acquire great meaning and smoky incense impregnates the atmosphere with mysticism and religiosity. People barter their product and the market explodes with color, tradition, and folklore. At the indicated time, transfer to Panajachel, a village located on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Considered as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, also three volcanoes Atitlan, Tolimán, and San Pedro are protecting the lake. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the Hotel for accommodations.
Day 06: Boat Ride Santiago Atitlan - Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast at the hotel. At indicated time, you will enjoy a morning boat trip to Santiago Atitlán. This village is located on the south part of Lake Atitlan, on the slopes of the Atitlan Volcano. On a very short walking, you will visit the church of Santiago Apostol and then visit the confraternity of Maximón. At the indicated time, transfer from Panajachel to Antigua Guatemala. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from your hotel to visit Antigua Guatemala America’s Colonial Monument, Antigua Guatemala, named so by the beauty and greatness of the colonial buildings. The town is protected by the surrounding eternal guards, the Volcanoes of Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. Antigua was founded in 1543, as the third capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala and partially destroyed in 1773 by the Santa Marta Earthquakes. Go over cobblestoned streets to visit the Plaza de Armas, Palace of the Captains, the Cathedral, churches, and monasteries. Continue visiting the Jade factory and the handicraft market. You will also visit nearby towns of San Antonio Aguascalientes and Ciudad Vieja. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel for accommodations.
Day 08: Depart Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Airport for boarding the flight that will take you home or an optional tour.
