Day 01: Arrival Athens
Meet and greet upon arrival at Athens Airport and transfer to hotel. Check into Hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Athens
Breakfast at Hotel. In the morning, make your own way to the starting point of Half Day Guided Panoramic Tour of Athens. We pass the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier that stands in front of Parliament House on Constitution Square, and see the Presidential Mansion that served as the Royal Palace before the country’s monarchy was abolished in 1974. See the Panathenaic Stadium — site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 — and then relax as your coach drives along Panepistimiou, home to Athens’ National Library and the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, known locally as ‘Mitropoli.’ After seeing the highlights of modern Athens, step back in time with a tour of the city’s past. Visit the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus, and then stop at Athens’ crowning glory: the Acropolis of Athens. Built on a rocky hill towering above the city, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed acropolis comprises a cluster of ancient buildings that once collectively acted as a fortress. Each building was created to reflect the splendor and wealth of Athens during the 5th century. After spending time at leisure at the acropolis, drop back to starting point of tour. Proceed to hotel on your own. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Full Day Olympia Tour
Breakfast at Hotel. Today we proceed to a Full day tour to Olympia. Olympia is one of the 5 ancient sites that you must visit. Enroute a short stop at the Corinth canal. Later, we arrive at Olympia and visit the archaeological museum, the museum of the ancient Games (Closed on Saturday & Sunday), and the ancient site. You will learn the history of The "sacred" Sanctuary with the temples, the administration buildings, the sports' complex, and the stadium of Olympia. Later we return Athens and drop to the starting point. Proceed to the hotel on your own. Overnight at Hotel in Athens.
Day 04: Athens – Kalambaka
Breakfast at Hotel. Prepare for your departure transfer to Athens Train Station to connect to your train to Kalambaka (Standard Train Travel Included). Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Check into Hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 05: Kalambaka – Athens
Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed for a Half day Guided Tour of Meteora with Theopetra Cave. Meteora is located just over 3 miles (5.4 km) from central Kalambaka and is a remote region of sandstone peaks where, from the 11th century onwards, monks settled. marvel at the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the awe-inspiring sandstone pillars and spend a few minutes snapping photos. With your local guide at your side, visit two of the remaining monasteries. As you explore the sites, listen to your guide share fascinating stories about the first hermits and monks who settled in Meteora, and discover their motivations for building the monasteries atop the sheer rock spires. Later we proceed to south of Meteora to the prehistoric Theopetra Cave. Situated at the foot of the Chasia mountain range, the cave shows signs of being continuously inhabited from 135,000 BC to 4,000 BC and holds some of the earliest historical secrets in the world, including the oldest known man-made structure. (Note: Theopetra Cave is closed on Mondays, when you'll visit one additional monastery). Later return to the hotel. In the afternoon departure transfer to the train station to connect your train to Athens (Standard Class Train Travel Included). Arrival transfer to your Hotel. Check into Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06: Depart Athens
Breakfast at Hotel. Day free at leisure until departure transfer to Airport.
